Middle School Girls SEC Volleyball

More than just a Sport

Participating in any sport has benefits, but volleyball offers the opportunity for lessons that few other sports can. The volleyball community is a place where everyone is welcome and you can find a lifetime of play and competition. Volleyball brings families together to play and learn and offers the opportunity to create lifelong friendships and bonds. From character-building skills such as leadership, teamwork, respect and communication to the physical benefits of staying healthy and active, here are some of the things you can expect to gain by playing volleyball.

7th Grade Tryouts         Monday, January 5th         5:30-7:00 PM                  Middle School Teff Gymnasium
8th Grade Tryouts         Monday, January 5th         7:15-8:30 PM                  Middle School Teff Gymnasium

Practice & Parent’s Meeting:  Coaches will notify parents.

What to do to be ready for tryouts:

Step #1—Pre-register for tryouts.  You do this by setting up an account in BOUND (GIVE LINK INFO); uploading the physical form (available online at ????) and health insurance card front and back.  The physical cannot be older than April 1, 2024.  If this step is not done prior to tryouts, you will not be allowed to tryout.

What to do if you make the team:

Step #2—When rosters are posted, if your student/athlete is selected to be on the team,  you will need to pay the athletic fee of $120.00 through the Receation Department.  There is a 20% discount if you qualify for Free/Reduce Lunch Program.  The fee can be paid at www.smrecdept.org. under MS Sports on the phone by calling the Recreation Dept. 414-766-5081 or in person at the Recreation Department.  This must be done prior to your 1st team practice after you make the team.

Parents and players will be informed about the specifics by the coaches prior to the season beginning.

PS  There will also be a Personal Jersey Fee.
