Before & After School Program

Hello and thank you for choosing South Milwaukee Recreation's Before & After School Program!

Most days children will spend time in the gymnasium or outside on the playground (weather permitting), and there will also be guided activities and projects, as well as time set aside for students to self-navigate. While getting homework done is not necessarily required, homework assistance is available, and quiet time is set aside each day for students to choose between homework, reading, and quiet activities. The staff is not responsible for ensuring all homework is completed, but is happy to work with parents to meet the needs of all of our families. Staff will be sensitive and flexible to meet the needs of parents, as well as to meet both the physical and emotional needs of the children.

SM Rec Summer Day Camp

Welcome to another summer here with South Milwaukee Recreation Department’s Summer Day Camp! As we look to continue to build and grow our Summer Day Camp, we look forward
to helping our campers grow and learn this summer as well. We hope you choose to spend your summer with us!

Our day camp gives our campers the amazing opportunity to spend their summer in an environment that’s perfect for kiddos ages 4-12. We feature a variety of activities including arts and crafts, a multitude of group games and activities, all camp field trips, and swimming almost every day!

You can learn more by reading our Parent Handbook, which is linked below. The handbook includes the registration forms for you to complete and return to the Recreation Office. You can also call the Rec Office to register, and registration is also able to be completed online here!

Registration opens Sunday, March 1st!
